Returns & Refunds Policy — Confectionery World

At Confectionery World, we want every order to arrive fresh, accurate, and exactly as expected. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help. This Returns & Refunds Policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Change‑of‑Mind Returns

We accept change‑of‑mind returns at our discretion.

To be eligible:

➤ Items must be unopened

➤ Items must be unused

➤ Items must be in original, resaleable condition

➤ Items must be returned within 14 days of delivery

Customers are responsible for return postage on change‑of‑mind returns.

Refunds for approved change‑of‑mind returns are issued once the items are received and inspected.

2. Incorrect, Missing or Faulty Items

If your order arrives with an issue, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We may request:

➤ A photo of the items received

➤ A photo of the packaging

➤ A photo of the shipping label

If the issue is confirmed, we will provide:

➤ A replacement

➤ A refund

➤ Store credit

The remedy offered depends on product availability and the nature of the issue.

3. Heat‑Sensitive Products

Many confectionery items are sensitive to heat. While we package orders with care:

➤ We cannot guarantee products will not melt during transit

➤ Refunds or replacements are not provided for heat‑related damage

➤ Customers in warmer climates (NT, WA) should consider express shipping

By placing an order, you acknowledge this risk.

4. Taste, Texture and Personal Preference

Because confectionery must be opened to be tasted:

➤ We do not offer refunds or replacements for taste, texture, or personal preference

➤ We do not accept returns for opened or partially consumed items

5. Short‑Dated and Clearance Items

Short‑dated, clearance, or discounted items are sold as‑is.

➤ These items are not eligible for change‑of‑mind returns

➤ These items are not eligible for refunds unless faulty under ACL

6. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch only.

If stock has already been allocated, ordered, or prepared:

➤ A restocking fee may apply

➤ Refunds will be issued minus any applicable fees

Once an order has shipped, cancellations are not possible.

7. Restocking Fees (If Applicable)

If a customer cancels after accepting a quote or after stock has been ordered or allocated:

➤ A restocking fee may be charged

➤ The fee reflects supplier charges, handling, and administrative costs

➤ The fee is deducted from any refund issued

Restocking fees do not apply when the cancellation is due to an error by Confectionery World or when required under ACL.

8. How to Start a Return

To begin a return or report an issue, please contact us with:

➤ Your order number

➤ A description of the issue

➤ Photos (if applicable)

We will guide you through the next steps.

9. Refund Processing

Once a return is approved and received:

➤ Refunds are issued to the original payment method

➤ Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider

➤ Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted

10. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a remedy if a product is:

➤ Faulty

➤ Unsafe

➤ Not as described

➤ Not fit for purpose

We will always comply with our obligations under ACL.
